Next Cubasis Update
This is good news
Hi Mgmg4871,
The next update will be available mid of march at latest.
We are working on many new things, but we won't give any details about what's coming until it's 100% safe that those features will be there on in the next version.
Best regards,

Nice one !
Thanks for the good news. "Working on many new things" sounds really good. I hope they'll give us some better effects, and maybe a native Synth even if they're iap's. Cubasis would also benefit from allowing us to import our own drum samples and even better, multisamples for the Sample player.
Good news!
Realy wanted Auria, but mostly for PSP and Fabfilter. I think I'll go for Cubasis, realy like their interface, how they implemented AB and I'll have Cubase 7 in a few months.
The one feature I really want is a stable recoding environment that I won't suddenly lose all of my work in ;-)
I thought that they might have pushed a bug fix update through quickly with a features update in March.
I'm trying to use Auria instead until the bug fix comes through but I've noticed that I miss the Cubasis workflow and the midi tracks......
Totally know what you mean, Skipp. I had really gotten accustomed to the Cubasis workflow. It's my personal favorite output to work with right now. I'm plodding right along with it and I've lost all of my work three times already. That's a pretty big testament to how much I like it. Hopefully I didn't have my Thriller started on one of those three I lost. ;-) It's not likely actually.
I will say I'm not thrilled with the midi editor. It could completely be me though. I felt the same way about BM2 and then one day I realized I was flying around in it without a problem. Practice makes mediocre (in my case).
@boone51 I'm with you on that last post on so many levels ......
I'm getting better with the midi editor but still fly off to the side on occasion or have difficulty selecting a small note or changing a velocity level.
When you pinch zoom in the midi note editor is there a way to stop the notes disappearing to the left and get it to zoom to the right ?
It seems odd that it does this.
Also if I zoom out too much the notes dissapear ?
Does anyone think the pinch zoom works just fine ?
@davemagoo I am having the same problem with the editor, which is a shame as its preventing me really enjoying the whole app.
Sonicstate talk about it a lot
Hopefully they will look to change how the zoom works as I think it would make such a difference to the overall experience.
i don't think they will put better fx or even instruments (synths)in the next update. We still talk about steinberg ;-) We (or at least i)can be happy if they offer a REAL eq,Midi thru,Midi sync and some minor bug fixes.I'm also not happy with their descision to wait with fixing the nasty undo bug.At least this one should be fixed ASAP.Wavemachine Labs definitely have a better update policy imo.
Where did you get this info from? My recent direct communication with them tells me otherwise.
The response to @mgmg4871's thread on the Cubasis forum stated that the next update would be March. If they were planning on an update to deal with the bug that would have been a good time for them to mention it.....
exactly.Mid of march by the way...
Because they didn't mention it would be part of the next release doesn't mean that it,s not on the list of fixes. I've sent them video evidence and crash logs on the bug which they are very concerned about and are currently working on. Even tho they set up mid March as the next release doesn't mean they can't deliver early either. The last release was slated for mid Feb but came at the beginning of Feb.
to be fair, they wrote"at last"mid of march. But hey,it's quite close then.Regarding apples 5-10 days of aproving time i really don't see how they could release two updates in such a short time window. It's just not steinbergs way of handling updates.
The next update will cover several bug fixes and some new features. Not 2 separate updates.
From that thread,
We are working on many new things, but we won't give any details about what's coming until it's 100% safe that those features will be there on in the next version."
yes,that's exactly what i wrote
x 2
The original disappointment was that there was not an interim update to deal with the bug. Not that it wouldn't be included in the next update in March.
I hear ya. It's a pretty complicated bug I'll tell ya. More than one thing setting it off.
Newbie here. What is the bug you speak of? Currently working on a couple of things and LOVING Cubasis after loving garageband lots too.
The bug is when after recording some audio (mostly through audiobus) and you hit undo, you loose all your audio tracks. Not only what you just recorded but other tracks as well.
My suggestion is after working for a bit, don't hit the undo button after recording a poor performance, just select the audio event and erase instead.
Next update will be eliminating this bug as well as other bug fixes. Plus possible new features.
