Post a picture of who you wanted to be (or just a younger you)
I, of course, wanted to be a rock star. I posted this pic in the baldness thread, but seems like a good chance to meet you all in your younger years.

Looking good @wim.
We would set up boxes like drum sets and brooms for guitars and have all the moves going and just put on KISS ALIVE and actually be onstage in front of that Cobo Hall crowd...damn goooood times.

I will never, ever, be that cool in real life.
U said "who you wanted to be."
@wim did you catch that documentary Lil old band from Texas? I thought it a good job of showing the guys’ personalities and the band’s history.
Neil Peart was my guy. Was gutted when he passed. My band in college covered La Villa Strangiato note for note. 🙂
@wim. I knew that. I guess my title is confusing. Let’s see what happens.
Me in '76
Truth here - I like the way I look now more than any other time in my life, so other than perhaps losing a few pounds, what you see is the best version of me. You all can Google my previous, terrible looks.
I'd hang out with that guy!
@rcf... Christlike... in a good way😉 @Daveypoo, well, that would have been fun for sure.
I was not so interested in how people looked, as to what their intentions were at the time. I guess that is a bit tough. I’ll settle for youth.
Lol... my late wife apparently used to refer to me as 'the little Jesus man' (I'm not very tall) before we were introduced.
As for who I wanted to be; I would probably have liked to be Roy Harper at that time...
Because of Patti Smith, I'd go with a young Sam:
but following that thought through I should really choose:
Emmanuel Radnitzky, because Lee Miller was his muse and mistress and I've been in some sort of love with her most of my adult life...
Yep. That is one hella fun documentary.
Edit - maybe not.
This is who I wanted to be in the 70s.
And this is who I was in the 90s.
Back in the Day when 1991... Was DJ/Bouncer/Repo Man! LOL.
circa 1992, spots and all:
1994, wannabe Kurt Cobain:
There comes a time when you look into the mirror and you realize that what you see is all that you will ever be. And then you accept it. Or you kill yourself. Or you stop looking in mirrors. (Tennessee Williams)
The healthiest point I think I reached was looking in the mirror and thinking, ‘Uggh, lets stop trying to make everyone else into that.’
