Best drum samples
I'm connecting an iPhone to a drum head, and I would like the best samples possible. The app must support midi, and a good breadth of kits would be a plus. Midi learn isn't a big deal, since I can reassign the pads on the electronic drums. AB would be a plus, so I can route through effects. I've played around with SampleTank, Funkbox, DrumJam, Live Drums, Drums Live, robotic Drums, and a few others. Each have pros and cons, so I thought I'd throw this out to the community to try to get other ideas. This would be, almost exclusively, for live performing. Any suggestions?

I might just add to try and use not just single drum hit samples but maybe short and medium loops of drum fills to see how that affects what you play. The first thing that came to my head was wu tang clan idrum app. Even if you dont like hip hop, really listen to the drum samples that are in there. It's not just a kick or a snare, it's also layered with some other musical element like a single bass note, orchestra hit or kick and snare along with fills. Those unique fills would inspire me to play beats and rhythms I wouldnt normally play. You could do this with metal songs, reggae songs, tribal world music songs (tablas come to mind). Like I've sampled a few rock band's drum solo parts and slowed them down, pitched them up and then layer over them with the single drum sample hits, maybe emphasizing a normal rock kick with a heavy hip hop or dubstep 808 kick and then using a diff snare alternating with a cowbell or clap over the regular snare in the underlying loop.
Just my two cents. Have fun!

Thanks guys. I'll look into these.
1 - Check out Impaktor - not the answer to this question, but you might dig it.
2 - Have you tried DM-1 ?
@FJ You probably want multi-sample with a setup like that right?...I don't think there are any drum apps that trigger samples by velocity level. I could be wrong.
I throw one out there for ya, Nord Beat 2. I got it when it was free, (which I think it still is).
Idrum got pulled from the iTunes Store...bummer, Izotope is fantastic, I hope they come back to ios.
Set yourself up a nice multi velocity layered soundfont file containing all the drums you want
and load it into bs-16i.
Thanks again guys. I'm going to have to look further into multi-sample, multi-velocity, and creating sf files. I do have Impaktor, and that is a lot of fun, but I'm also looking to trigger hq samples too.
I'm interested to see what you found for an answer funjunkie27.
I bought the Wu-Tang app, do you want me to zip all the sounds from it, or is that a bit naughty?
I put this on the back burner for now. I meet with some friends every 3rd Sat. of the month, and our drummer and I decided to redo the electronic drum kit, since the frame wasn't holding up too well. It didn't help that we added twice as many pads as what it was designed for ;-) In the process, I decided to compare the sounds of the heads...we had two, an older Roland and Alesis, to what I could get out of iOS and iOS won hands down.
The reason I put it on the back burner is that I wanted to wait until our drummer comes over to let him decide, since he'll be the one who lives with it. So for now, I'm just looking for all the possibilities. Thanks again for everyone's input.
@JangoMango - I appreciate the offer! but I think I have enough options without going that route.
