New Video: Working with Presets in Audiobus 2

Hey guys,

Here's another video about Audiobus 2. This time it's about presets and how to work with them.

Cheers!

  • This is great!!! Will help the recording flow. Thank you very much for your hard work. Will there be an option to group several presets under a folder (e.g. Project name)?

  • not being impatient here.

  • OK I am but that is understandable, no? Looks great!

  • We're submitting it this week. So... soon.

    @Sebastian & @Michael Very cool stuff.

  • Knew you'd submit sooner or later...

  • Oh this is very cool, a couple of questions.

1..To reload a preset will all the relevant apps need to be open or will AB2 deal with this?
2.. Have any of the beta testers tried this with an iPad4, if so how was it?

    Many thanks

Currently you'll still have to launch all apps in a preset at least once manually if that's what you're asking. Just like in Audiobus 1. An iPad 4 should be great.

@Sebastian Good work a job well done , the AudioBus team.
Just a quick question to add on what the @thesoundtestroom ask, would it ever be possible that when you load a save preset it also launch the app also.

  • I realize this could get unwieldy, but any chance of sharing presets through the forum?

  • No, it wasn't written in Java...

I've thought about this one. Maybe we'll add it later. Currently you'll have to copy the link and manually paste it into a new forum post.

  • Thanks for considering it @Sebastian.

Maybe will be good to have automatic hashtag in preset's tweet, so others can easly find all of presets?

  • No coffee yet, but they're working on it expresso!

  • This is the thread I've bean waiting for!

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? ... :-). Just a wee bit excited for this to be released...

Edit: commenting on my own excitement :-)

  • @dj8: try switching to decaf.

  • @NoiseHorse, decaf expressso? Future brew...

  • You have a wonderful knack of taking something quite compkex under the surface and presenting it in a very easy to use format. AB itself is a great example of this, and your preset implementation looks just as simple.

PhilW, this is the heart of it. Both for Audiobus and all of the iPad ecosystem. Sebastian and Michael have accomplished this simplicity of use every time.

If it isn't easy enough to use, it is no longer fun. And if it's not fun, users will go back to candy crush for that hour of spare time. which has never been a problem for Audiobus or Loopy :-)

Congrats on getting close to finishing up the new update guys, I can't wait to see if I can run some simple multi-channel effects on my iPad 2. At the very least I will be ecstatic to have presets.
