Stems/loop player - Alternatives for Ampify Launchpad *idealy Auv3
I need a stems player. Would have been cool if it stayed in tempo when changed.
Two features missing on Ampify Launchap app:
MIDI mappablilty
Separate outputs.
I don’t want to carry my Launchpad controller to gigs
I use the compact korg nk2
I need to be able to mute/unmute Channels of stems.
I tried Playing stems with Drambo Sampler but it’s out of sync on its different samplers.
Now with EG Pulse it seems to work When triggered by Drambo
Any other workarounds?

AUM file players?
There’s no preset load on Aums file player.
Apematrix player is an alternative.
Not sure what you mean by presets.
How many stems are we talking about here? For a normal gig, I mean. And how many concurrent? Like, as an example, do you mean 10 total songs with a single backing track or 13 total songs with 6 separate stems each.
That's one reason I'm waiting for EG Sampler... And AUV3.
Maybe BeatHawk?
Yes. BeatHawk also has a very good song mode.
Have you tried Modstep? You can load audio samples into the Sampler.
Or maybe Zenbeats or BeatMaker3.
ZenBeats is probably the best option.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I haven’t gotten into that one yet, so I never think of it.
Zenbeats does have midi mappable clip launching. It doesn't have multiple outputs though.
LP-5 !?

I use Loopy HD for this task. If there were only more than 12 sample slots... can‘t wait for Loopy Pro!
Jamm Pro is quite powerful and has midi learn. Although you will probably not need most of its extensive features for giging. Doesn‘t have multiple outputs.
Loopy Pro when it comes.
Multitracker if you are on arranger like apps.

I wish BeatHawk would get an update for separate outputs like on Pulse.
Ended up using Pulse triggered by Drambo sequencer.
It’s easy to load a different “song” with 16 different stems with preset load.
Seems like a good solution.
I wonder if it’s time stretchable according to tempo.
I considered Loopy HD but I’d prefer Aum as a host for Auv3 so I could change presets on live sets
Would be ideal for performance if it’s all mappable to a controller.
Then I use Zenbeats as the host instead of Aum.
It’s like having it on separate outputs cause each channel has its own eq mute/unmute etc.
Unfortunately it’s not available yet in my country.
I write them regularly to complain and nada.
Maybe on next Drambo update 🙏🏻Or on EG slicer
Is stretching through pitch shifting off limits? Or do you want true time-stretch that preserves pitch while adjusting tempo?
At the moment I don’t mind. Anything that allows me to play me stems in sync and has separate outputs for mute unmute and further processing
You can do something similar with GTL. No separate outputs but AUv3 per clip, somg structure with quantized launch, midi mappable and slide over AUM if you want to go bizarre with input (also has AUv3 for input channel) or output...
Unfortunatly no...Asking for that feature for months
I absolutely wold LOVE a frigging simple 8x8 matrix as AUv3 which can be loaded with drag and drop from the files app (e.g. from my micro SD card).
Tapping on the isolated cells will provide a) one shot, b) loop and c) play as long as you hold.
Thats it. I have so much samples and I really love the launchpad app style to make music but implementing own samples is still a PITA in the iOS universe.
Anybody got experience with MultitrackRecorder by 4 pockets? In the description it says:
Seems as an AUv3 player/recorder in Aum, this could be good.
It’s ok.
Just be very careful with your levels. It doesn’t take kindly to anything over zero.
Could be cool but the UI is to cramped. Lots of wasted space for unnecessary gfx.
I'm was never satisfied with that brands products, unfortunately. it has amazing potential.
