Need a new rabbit hole ... CMI Fairlight
This is so friggin' cool. I'm going down in this hole. Might just have to spray paint my keyboard white!

You know there’s an iOS version of the Fairlight?

yes, but this one is free.. or pay what you like...
Yeah, and the other has very mixed reviews. And is pricey. I'm gonna see about this and I'll let you know what I come up with.
Qasar Beach is pretty awesome, it’s more authentic than the Arturia version and beats the pants off the Vogel app. And it’s being actively developed. Someday Samplight will be released for yet another take.
You have it? So, where do you get all the samples (or are they included with the download)? I'm a huge fan of the sounds of this synth/system/DAW.
Do you use mac or pc?
Hope to have time to download and install tonight.
It comes with a basic library, some favorites, 500+ I think? I also have the JJ Jeclazic cd which has some overlap. And it loads any format even stereo. I use a Mac and it runs well, it’s standalone only.
Thanks mate!
Also, free samples here, suitable for use in AudioLayer:

And the Vogel app is update each 2 years. So maybe 2021 will get a new update
The original disk data's been out in the open for a long time too:

I love Fairlight samples, although supposedly a lot of the sparkly magic is locked up in old circuits and MacGyver workarounds, voicing architecture of the machine etc. Also there's something that's similar to aliasing but that's meant to sound nice instead, and I forget what it is but the Fairlight apparently incorporated it into the bright sound.
Impressed with this Qasar Beach developer. Hope he continues!
