Cubasis 3 and Pure Acid program change

Hoping someone can help...

All I want to do is use Cubasis program change to change patterns on PureAcid.

I've got 2 separate instances running within C3, one for the bassline synth and one for drums (as I want to use different effects for each)

On PA I've got midi set up for Chan 9 for the 303 and Chan 10 for the drums.
On C3 I've got the corresponding midi out routing set up for chans 9 and 10.

Using C3's fiddly and frustrating editor I've successfully drawn a program change that changes the 303 pattern but I can't get it to the same for the drums.

I've got no idea if I've set up C3's midi routing correctly (All MIDI port Vs Network Session 1 etc) but what I've got works for the bass synth.

Does anybody here use C3 to pattern change on PA? Or Beathawk, EG Pulse etc...

I'd appreciate some guidance.

  • Bumping this thread just in case it got buried and some helpful person missed it....

'Solved' the problem by using PureAcid's song mode and just running it alongside Cubasis. Not ideal.

  • There is a small and cheap midi tool called mfx convert. You programming it once, save it and you can make easily programm changes.

Necro-thread revival! Thank you Zeta but I've given up trying to get PA to work this way. I just grab the audio now and use it that way.

6 months ago there was an update as Pure Acids midi in was not correct so it maybe worth a re-visit.

I made a Mozaic Script to convert midi notes to program change for Pure Acid (in AUM, i have not used it in Drambo).
