Yeah. Turns out selling an iOS music app is kind of simple. Just get Jimmy Fallon to sing with Billy Joel using it. Then have Tim Cook call the performance 'magical'.
Joking aside this is pretty awesome for the whole mobile music community.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
@ChrisG yep...here it is:
Agreed. Kudos.
Congrats @Michael, you, LoopyHD and the whole IOS music scene deserves this exposure.
If I was in an alternate universe and could only have one app on my IPad and Phone it would be
LoopyHD, all my musical apps are either recorded into LoopyHD via Audiobus, Midi synced to LoopyHD's superb Midi clock or both, I love it.
@Multitouch - "LoopyHD's superb Midi clock"
Do we use the same program? I love Loopy for many things, but I have never been able to get a stable MIDI clock. What's your secret?
Holy shit @timcook!
@b0bert0 there have been a couple of midi clock snafus since it was added years ago ( minimal and short lived) but more often than not if loopy isn't synching well with something it's the something's fault.
That was pretty cool, great exposure for Loopy and iOS apps in general. And there's one thing that's for sure. I'm going to start putting "Jimmy" and "Fallon" in my keywords. ;-)
freakin awesome! congrats fellas.
Holy retweets batman!

We certainly do. I wouldn't call it my secret, more like Michaels, it's all about generating the perfect phase locked loop. I've got no idea what that means, I think it's something Michael said in another thread.
A not so secret app going by the name of Midibus is an excellent midi clock diagnosis tool, if you hook up apps that generate midi clock to it, you can see how stable or not the clock is and LoopyHD's is rock solid, so is Genome, bleep!BOX and a few others.

I totally agree.
Wow, congrats Michael. This is just mind blowing. 1400 retweets! Loopy HD deserves the publicity. Easily my favorite iPad app.
Also, any Loopy users who want to help build up the how-to wiki, maybe head on over to chip in at http://wiki.loopyapp.com. I predict a lot of n00b comments flooding forum.loopyapp.com this weekend. Which is great!
Thanks heaps everyone! Crazy insane awesome day![=) =)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smiley.png)
And by the way the tonight show uses an apogee Quartet.

Loopy HD is the perfect gateway app and it is the reason I got into iOS music in the first place. Congrats.
Conan should follow the trend and make a Thumbjam Drumjam jam to mock the band.
Holy Shit, didn't realize the tim cook tweet first.Wow.And he is really not posting often on twitter oO
Now everyone else knows what we've known all along. I agree that the Roots are BA, and Billy Joel. What a voice. Congrats Michael!
Jimmy Fallon tweeted this out 4 hours ago, with the correct name for Loopy right in the tweet. Over 1,000 retweets. Considering he's got over 12 million followers, this will be very nice.
"@jimmyfallon: Me and @BillyJoel and Loopy app sing some doo wop. https://t.co/c6JAbpT3za"
This is fantastic on so many levels.
We've all been waiting for forever for a real music app (not the toy stuff) to get mass-market mainstream TV exposure. It's finally happened! It's first contact.
Not to mention Michael's story itself leading up to this is pretty awesome.
And even for those who don't know or care about the music apps industry or Michael's story, the segment itself was pretty epic. Watching it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 1.7m views and counting.
(I'm still waiting for a real music app to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Angry Birds and Candy Crush - it will happen)
Jimmy Fallon has over 1200 videos on his channel and this one is already in the top 5%, and it's a day old
It's cool that there is an orchestra to follow Loopy HD :-)
^this! Towards the end you realize, "wait a minute, the iPad is the lead and the band is just backing up loopy HD... And it sounds awesome!"
I was stunned by the performance...and I use Loopy literally every time I make music on my iPad :-)
And don't be shy @michael, but before the end of the weekend 3 million + people will have seen your app, (currently at 1.8 million). Love it.
@rhism, have you heard a back story to how this got chosen and featured on the show? Or were you just referring to Michael's story as an iOS dev?
@michael Congrats! Very cool. I imagine it's going to start getting busier in this forum![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Loopy HD #1 paid music app in US now. #2 top grossing. #3 of all categories.

Considering we're seeing already 3000-4000 unique users per day on this forum... phew...
Wow! I wondered what kind of numbers you were seeing. That equates to a lot of lurkers!
Apogee is pimping it too http://www.apogeedigital.com/pr/tonight-show-quartet.php
Feels great to be a part of this new music revolution. Lol. The momentum is still building strong according to the App Store and online viewing statistics.
(Now it's a trending topic on one of the sites I visit.)
@Hmtx just his overall story, not specific to this
