Two questions on sharing GarageBand iOS projects between devices

I’m trying to a) share several GB iOS projects between my iPhones at once and b) actually making it possible to share them at all. The AirDrop option in GB is buggy between my iPhone 7 Plus and XR.

The reason I don’t share the projects automatically is because I have different Apple ID’s on the two devices.

  • I am about to dig into this.
My daughter got an iPhone and we are going to attempt some collaborating.
She kinda knows GB already from messing with it on my iPad, so that will be the first app we try to use.

Honestly, I am not too strong in GB. Never used it very heavily or to its full potential. I will have to figure a few things out, but will post my findings and experience here. I will also look for some tips from others on here.

  • Bulletproof: in FILES (not within garageband) long press and zip file. Then email with Apple Mail. Will ask to use Mail Drop(icloud) say yes. (If file is greater then ~20GB usually you have to) Uploads automatically to cloud and emails link. Done.

You can always use other cloud services just make sure zip it first.

    Cool. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the breakdown @Jimmy
