Buy Cubasis 3 again... impossible!! - Solved -

It’s a controversial topic I know...

I bought Cubasis 3 at release date but it was so buggy I asked and get a refund. Now it seems mostly fixed I want but can’t buy it again, Apple has locked that possibility. Cubasis is of course not installed on my device, there is a cloud icon in AppStore for the app not the price.

What can I do? I already sent a mail to Apple.

They definitely need to introduce demo apps, more than 50 euros for a buggy app is not a cool risk to take.

  • @Janosax thats crazeee. Damn its bug free now . Maybe you can create a new Apple i.d

  • @Janosax there's one thing you can try: log out of the app store in Settings, then navigate again to Cubasis 3 in the App Store, it should show the price there. Tap to buy and enter your App Store credentials again.

I had the same problem yesterday with another app. I tried to download it a few times, switched off my phone, tried again.

The cloud icon was gone this morning. Can’t say what happened but I can purchase now.

I’m sure it’s something with Apple store and Apple ID.

  • The cloud icon should allow you to download it or Apple or it's not really removed from your account...
Have you tried tapping on the cloud icon to see if it gets downloaded?

I have the cloud icon on many apps that are not installed on my device.

That’s so clever, many thanks!!! It has worked :)

  • @Janosax great!

@Samu I'm not sure if this is new or not, but (some?) refunded apps show up in the app store with the cloud icon and, when trying to download them, throw an error.

Seems to be new for sure, there is also a message saying that it can’t be re-downloaded because of a refund.

Seems to work quite well this time, even iFretless bass record directly to the track, proper Replicant 2 behavior, Rozeta record to track, AUV3 effect on screen automation, and everything mixdown properly... first try is good, need to go further... if stable could replace easily GB and all my workarounds with Enso for « automations » sampling and AB/midi effects virtual routings!!

  • There is an easier solution for future instances. When you enter the app store, click your icon, click your purchases and then scroll to the app. Swipe it and it will be "hidden" which will return it to its Get or price function. I have yet to try it on bought apps but have done with several free apps. Hope this helps.

    Nice trick thanks.
