Ahhh OK, yeah I don't really know anything about Ambient sound design, furthest I go is a pad haha.

Yeah that's what I mean, there are just so many applications and uses for a sampler that it's impossible for one app to do it all. The sampler in BM3 is the best on iOS for most things, but Obsidian is really great for sample synthesis.

  • But you can't even change loop points in realtime, not automated, but as the synth is being played, to find the loop section, so saying that it is really great for sample synthesis is maybe right for you, but certainly not for people who do modern bass design, for them it is absolutely terrible not being able to adjust loop points in realtime.

Sure, I'm not disputing that. Like I say there are so many different use cases that no app does it all. So it's a case of finding what works best for you and then working around the limitations, whatever they may be.

I find I get the sounds I'm looking for far more easily and quickly in Obsidian, but I totally get that other people are happier in BM3. It depends what you're trying to do.

  • Oh im not happier in BM3, it is a horrible crashy bugfest that wont even open my old projects since the new developer tookover, that's why I keep saying keys mode working well is so important in the EG plugin, once he nails keys in that, I will be uninstalling BM3, I am fed up losing projects.
