    Why not recommend Zenbeats, which has proven to work effortlessly with Piano Motifs, and the AUv3 hosting is a free upgrade these days, and the app is free to begin with.

    Just recognize that this audio bussing community was not the intended audience for this app; it was just meant for people who wanted to hear some nice piano motifs. It is great that the developer has been around and added suggestions from this forum after the release.

    Hi Gavin,
    Piano Motifs only issues sustain (damper pedal) commands on the accompaniment, left hand track (track 2) and not on the right hand, melody track (track1). So maybe this explains it. But from what I could tell in your video, you were probably using the accompaniment track (it is a continuous arpeggio accompaniment), so maybe it doesn't.

    I see the app store blurb for Zenbeats mentions mpe. Can u sequence mpe midi on a timeline in it? @bleep

    @azul3D_Apps in the vid I am pretty sure I used both, left hand to one instrument, right to another. But this is useful info nevertheless.

    All automations show up automatically in Zenbeats when you record, it is pretty sweet. I think it picked up everything from Touchscaper when I used it in MPE mode. You probably can't edit MPE per note, though.

    (It was a while ago, hope my memory is correct here. Do a video;-)

    Edit: or did it record the MPE aftertouch as channel aftertouch? That could be ...

    Got the free update, but Zenbeats can’t load in AUM it seems? Unless I’m missing something. Finally also got word from the dev of photon, he reckons he might know what the problem is, and is going to work on a fix.

    @Gavinski do you know if there is a way to sync Proton AU start and stop with AUM? i know theres the whole start on bar thing inside proton, but it seems like you have to manually stop it and restart it from proton every time you stop AUM.

    @shinyisshiny I think that's currently the only way. Unless I remember wrong my, I'm pretty sure I remember this being one of the things people complained about regarding photon. Hopefully will get fixed in the new update, maybe you can pm the dev @midiSequencer

    The start can be synced (to the bar or beat) BUT you can’t sync the stop.. the midi file will loop infinitely (or as many times as you have set with the loop knob).. if you try to stop it before the end of its loop length, it will continue to play to the end.. that’s the problem..
    Also, once you manually stop it (in Photon), you’ll have to manually restart it..

    Quick question is the midi out all on one channel?
    If so that’s cool, but... it be even better to separate the chords and lead on midi channels 1 and 2. This can be done manually after you record the midi, but it is often a pain, especially if the lead/melody midi intersects with the chord/rhythm midi at any point. I’m kind of curious before I purchase IAP... I probably will anyway but would like to know. Thanks.

    Hi @Poppadocrock, MIDI Out for melody and accompaniment can be programmed independently to any channels you want!
