Multi-Route Audio Not working consistently

Hello!
I'm having issues with this feature.
I connect my iRig pro i/o as external audio interface, then I connect the headphones on the iPad built-in jack, then I open AudioBus (with multi-route audio ON), then I open AUM. At that point, i'm able to choose any of those outputs, But then, suddenly, it starts showing me only 1 device at the time. The problem seems to be with some specific app maybe.
Am I doing something wrong?

This is my setup:
MIDI Controllers (Bluetooth MIDI)----> iPad ----> iRig Pro I/O -----> Looper Pedal (Midi in from iRig Pro)

I think you’re right - chances are there’ll be an app which is taking over that system setting. Multiroute is a bit of a weird and obscure iOS feature, and almost entirely undocumented. It’s also a bit flaky, from experience. I’m afraid I have about as much an idea as you do as to how to address this one! All Audiobus is doing is setting a system flag to enable the feature, and that’s the sum total of control I have over it!

It’s probably worth trying to simplify your setup until things start working, a step at a time - that at least will help to shed light on what it is that’s disabling the system. You could also try toggling it off and on again within Audiobus, in case that jostles it back into place.

Please direct all hate mail to the audio team at Apple ;-)

    Cheers,
    Michael
