  • Thanks! It's very helpful for a rock beginner to see your hands. I'm amazed at
how many notes get played by your first finger... like you use that primary finger
as a slide for many runs and most scale patterns come from the positioning of the
    first finger in a position.

I've been playing these scale boxes and connecting the boxes but I can see how
this approach would create more of a singing legato style that you can hear but also need to see to understand.

This will drive another round of practicing for me!

I've been watching how rock players use their thumb and the full fist around the neck
is so much more comfortable for bending. I also notice that most bends get targeted to be
done by the 2 or 3rd finger where the greatest strength can be applied using multiple
    fingers.

It's training the hands and less attention on gear and tone for me.

Don’t focus too much on my playing technique....I’m a self taught musician, and my techinque is far from being perfect😉.
On you tube,You’ll find guitar players with a much more efficient technique than mine.
Take a look at them too😉.
