Wish for a new application
First, thanks for letting me join. I have an application that I really wish would exist, but I'm afraid it's wishful thinking. Using Audiobus with various synthesizer apps is great for recording, but for performing I find it a lot more difficult. I like to use SampleTank because it has the live feature that allows splitting keyboards, for example, but the problem is that you can't program your own patches in SampleTank. For those, I like to use virtual analog synthesizers, but with those it's often difficult (time-consuming) to call up patches on the fly. It would be really great to have an application with tabs that you press to call up a certain preset on a certain virtual synthesizer. What would be even greater would be to be able to combine them on a keyboard layout so that the bass could be playing a patch from one synthesizer while the treble is playing a patch from a different one, or layered for example. Have other people thought about this, and are there any workarounds?

there’s an app called midi tools that allows you to create key zones that you can use in aum. you can also do fades from one section to the other. aum also allows you to play different synths at the same time with one midi keyboard. i dont personally have midi tools but you might be able to do layers with that one too. as far as the preset change goes, im not too sure.
