Haha, mmmaaaayyybbbeeee. I'm not the biggest fan of most live streams related to music I've watched. I feel they drag on a bit usually 🤐🤭. It also seems like a lot to focus on, the music stuff, my voice, and the chat. But let's see, maybe when I'm more experienced at this 😜
But yeah, would definitely be great if people have conversations with each other in the comments section instead of it mostly being just me chatting to ppl one to one. Would definitely like to see more cross-commenting there 👍
I am so happy that K-Devices poured out some love into the iOS world!!! I am a fanboy. I love their complex apps, and their interpretation of GUI Design! I love the sound the possibilities.
We need randomization for their plugs.
Next stop: HEXO & ESQ
Me too. Let’s hope more come soon.
@Gavinski I’m going to see the video now.
I had this on desktop, now also on iOS.
@despego great
@david_2017 I don't really see ttap working well with randomization, you'd probably need to go through like a hundred presets before u got something that sounded good 😄
really enjoying your videos dude, very well made and thoughtful
Thanks so much man, great to hear that. @drewinnit
By the way, don't think I mentioned this great little tip in the vid. When you touch any knob etc, its numerical value appears in the top right. If you tap on that number, a field opens up for you to enter a new numerical value. This is quite handy sometimes. For example, if u want to jump directly from one delay time to another without having to drag. In free mode it helps you to go to any time in ms immediately and accurately.
It takes a one time setup but I use the MIDI CC Randomizer preset in Mozaic to randomize parameters in apps that don’t have randomization built in.
Delays are PERFECT for randomization! 😉
I'll maybe give the randomizer a shot and see then 😜
Nice video, @Gavinski I love when you take your time to learn an app and dive in it. You clearly have done so with this. I knew TTAP (always think of it as T-t-t-t-t-tap
) but gone slowly with you through all parameters has show me a couple of things I didn't know.
And we got two tuts in one. Thanks for the bonus
Thanks for that timely tip.. all these cool tools we have at our disposal..
Just gave this a quick test and.. it works quite well.. used 2 instances of Mozaic to cover most all of the parameters in TTAP.. changed the default CCs + Channels, adjusted strength (in Moz).. now I had 2 random buttons to play with.. 👍
Saved any settings I liked in AUM.. + Yes we need to be able to save in TTAP too.. hopefully soon..
I would love to see this in action. How tonest it up for instance :-)
A basic question: What do the "T N D" settings represent?
This delay reminds me a lot of Dedalus in many ways. I think it might even replace Dedalus for me.
Funny - it doesn't actually say what they stand for. Something so obvious that only you and I can't work it out I expect!
https://k-devices.com/manuals/Phoenix_Series_Manual_1.0_ENG.pdf
I always though the T N D stood for Triplet, Note and Dotted
Type/Numerator/Denominator??
Super quick demo just to show the process. @Gavinski ’s gonna say ‘See, I told you it will sound crap!’
Love it!!
But you have to assign these parameters manually. However it’s cool! A keeper for Mozaic haha 👊🏼
When do you announce the winners @Gavinski / itching to buy this 😉
Yes, it is a complete pain. But if you save the AUM session then you can recall it and switch out the sound source. Great for cutting loops in AUM.
Now if @j_liljedahl would consider adding a checkbox next to AU parameters and then a top level random button we would be sorted!
Yeah - it's opaque to me. I read the manual too, and haven't a clue. It's obvious... to someone.
@gusgranite So that’s what it sounds like when you restrain yourself to only a few parameters.. 👍 much better than everything - all-the-time chaos.. although that can be fun too! 🤪
This
Yes triplet note and dotted
@gusgranite definitely need restraint in what you randomize I think yeah haha. I mean, let's face it, even when you dial things in on ttap, it's gonna sound shit unless you really know what you are doing 😂
Codes are always announced 2 days after the post, hang in there 😜
The manual is pretty opaque as it is, lol. I mean, it's clear, but too terse to be helpful.
