My dad was left handed. He was forced to use his right for penmanship. He developed a stutter, which was a common consequence. These days left hands matter, however.

Another lefty here. LIke most, I had to adapt to live in a right-handed world. Growing up in rural Texas when I found out there were left-handed scissors I thought they were magical. Learned to play golf and baseball right-handed, but eventually switched to left.
And I'm another one that plays right-handed guitar and wouldn't have it any other way. It feels like the right way to play for lefties as your dominant hand is doing the fretting work. Upside is it's an order of magnitude easier to find guitars, especially used.

Back at Primary School your hand was beaten with awooden ruler if you used your left hand to write with. Any lefties quickly became righties. Strange thing is when I become drunk I change holding my glass with the right and switch to the left. Noticed this a few years ago at a party when I said to a friend god am drinking with my left hand and he replied you always switch when you are drunk.
Left handed in everything but scissors and pool. I can shoot pool equally with either hand but usually chose my right unless the shot needs a bridge.
I play upright bass standing on the wrong side and pluck or bow with my left. The bass is strung right handed.

I was born a lefty but my parents somehow thought that’d make life more difficult for me, so made me learn to write right handed. (Now I couldn’t write left handed if I wanted to)
I play the guitar righty and bat righty, but definitely a lefty through and through.
Lefty in sports or strength, righty for everything else. I have poor handwriting as right handed. I come from a time where lefty inclinations were a sign of Satan. I’m sure their corrective measures were not good for me. I had a doctor swear I was right handed. A friend once said, “Let’s settle this, what hand do you wipe your ass with?” Lefty!
