Can Saturn 2 iOS accept sidechain audio input (in e.g. AUM)?
Just that ... the way you can with AD RoughRider3, TB Equaliser etc.
It obviously can in the desktop version, but wondering whether it works in iOS version. FF manual doesn’t seem to address this.
Thanks!

Yes, there is sidechain support in the Saturn 2 AUv3.
I‘ll try to keep the AU Multi-Bus Audio Units & Hosts wiki page up-to-date
Even though I'm still on the iPad Air 2 I'm very tempted to get this after trying the free demo on the desktop...
But for now I'll try to keep my store-credits under control
You can select side chain as the trigger input for the Envelope Follower and Envelope Generator sources:

https://www.fabfilter.com/help/saturn/using/eg
However, the manual doesn't explain how to connect the side chain in iOS. The answer is that Saturn2 is Multi-In. Add the second input instance and route another input to it. In the example below, Accordion is the normal input and Poly2 is input to the side chain.
Great info, I knew sidechaining was possible but not how to do it, thanks @mojozart
Here an example setup in AUM:
The left channel contains the ‚to be processed‘ pad-loop with Saturn in the FX slot. For demonstration purposes, i‘ve added a Wave Scope before and another after the Saturn instance, which are shown in the bottom.
The right channel contains the side chain input material, in this case a simple kick loop. In the FX slot you need to insert the ‚Multibus Audio Unit Instance‘ of Saturn. To be independent of the channel volume of the kick -loop, i added the side-chain input as pre-fader FX (long tap on the FX icon, wait for the AUM popup and change POST to PRE)
.
In Saturn you need to add an Envelop Follower or Envelop Generator using the ‚+‘ sign in the bottom area of the plugin.
Tap the generator to display additional options including an input icon that allows selection of the side-chain. The last step is to connect the output of the modulation with any of the knobs by dragging the purple dot over the knob you want to modulate. In the modulation popup that appears after you connected the modulator, you can select the direction of modulation (+ or -) and the modulation strength.
In this example, i apply a negative modulation to the output level depending on the volume of the kick - resulting in the ‚pumping‘ modulation of the pad sound seen in the lower Wave Scape.
Thanks @_ki @mojozart Exactly what I was after
