A simple problem - Drambo into cubasis
How do I record a Drambo multi-track pattern in Cubasis?
e.g.
Track 1 - Drambo running a 5 track drum groove
Track 2 - Cubasis MIDI piano
Track 3 - Cubasis audio vocal
So my aim is to commit the Drambo 5 track groove into an audio track in Cubasis.
(freeze doesn't work because there's nothing to freeze! track 1 is literally empty, as it's all in Drambo.)
Thanks

Just create an empty midi-region in Cubasis and you can freeze the output from Drambo.
What do you mean? I have a loop region selected but it's not letting me freeze.
Did you create an empty midi region on the track?
To create an empty midi-region double tap on the time-line...
WOW!!!!!! Solved! You're a legend. So can I just clarify - when you double tap, it creates a midi region for the looped region?
Yepp, double tap creates an empty midi-region between the locators.
Cubasis needs the midi or audio-regions in order to know what to freeze.
(Last time I checked Cubasis merges all regions into a long audio-file when freezing a track so it can sometimes create a very long audio-file instead of a few audio regions representing the original regions on the source track).
But over all I think it's a workable solution even though I would prefer a more advanced Audio & Midi routing in Cubasis.
(Ie. use the output of an AUv3 as the Input to an Audio Track and being able to route Midi to an AUv3 audio effect like a Vocoder etc. etc.).
Even though I'm not super productive when it comes to actual 'output' I feel I have a pretty solid grip on the technology
Cheers!
Yeah it's a great solution. Because running an 'internal' loop on a hosted app inside Cubasis is by its nature confined to a loop region. This would go for other looping apps like Ruismaker Noir, Playbeat, etc.
I too would like Cubasis to be able to record from one track to another. Beatmaker 3 does this extremely well.
