Automating TURNADO in AUM ??

I have been trying to set up Gadget Taipei to control Turnado in AUM with no success. Can someone offer clear guidance on how to set this up please?
Any other guidance for maybe more appropriate alternative apps would also be considered and appreciated for achieving the same ends.

Comments

  • Make sure you use the turnado midi au version.

  • Any midi app that sends note or cc can trigger turnado midi. By default cc1-8 are mapped.

If the app can record midi cc then you could also send midi from turnado. Great for recording jams in midi from turnado. You have to enable midi out in turnado.

  • Thanks - I have Turnado in midi mode but it will not connect or function.
Can someone confirm that they are actually doing this? I am assuming that it is a popular approach that a lot of people are indulging in? I appeal to you - are you a person who has successfully automated Turnado in AUM. If you are please make yourself known and let me know how you achieved this.
Please don’t tell me what should happen, but what actually does happen when you do this, and how you set it up.

  • This link takes me to a ‘page not found’ scenario?

  • Cause what the hey. Basically, make sure your output on Taipei as same as input on AUM for midi Turnado. There might be sexier ways of doing this but it works just fine.

  • Can you control the dictator via MIDI in AUM?

If it’s bound to a CC, yeah for sure

    Typically the dictator controls you.

    That’s the part I can’t figure out.

  • Ah - that’s great. Thanks for the replies and especially the vids. It all seems to be tuned in now after following the guidance - I’m not even sure at this stage what I was doing wrong or right - but there was a missing link in there. But yes those Turnado knobs are twiddling independently courtesy of Taipei. Thanks again!

No sweat! Also, you can feed CCs and midi back to gadget in reverse. It’s pretty neat :)
