Melodyne free trial....no input signal
Hi,
I know not iOS...but someone may know....
I’ve downloaded free trial of Melodyne Studio on a MacBook Air 2015 with Catalina updated.
In Logic Pro X software it works as a plug in and recorded audio fine.
Standalone Melodyne no input...internal mic or audio interface...no matter what settings I use..or rebooting laptop.
I’ve contacted Melodyne and they think could be MacBook audio drivers?
Still doesn’t find input signal using my Zoom U24 audio interface either.
Any ideas?
How to reinstall MacBook drivers? It’s my employers laptop.
Thanks..it’s so puzzling and annoying too,
IOSSOS.

My other answer was wrong. Not sure why you arent seeing your interface, but it should be in the audio preferences tab of melodyne. And check audio midi setup, which is in your applications folder in utilities.
A simple test is to open System Preferences => Sound => [Input].
If you can't see your interface there then no other Core Audio app can.
Other software, such as Logic, works with my audio interface.....it’s set in the systems preferences...but Melodyne stand-alone cannot record through input....
No Zoom driver needed for MacBook....
Company said something about MacBook audio drivers....
Thanks for feedback.....
Tried again...cannot record in standalone Melodyne....glad I didn’t buy it.....,,all audio settings possibilities have been tried....only can use inside Logic....
Another forum to ask....any suggestions please?
Why not just use it in Logic?
Yes...In Logic okay...but Still want to know reason why no input signal in Stand-alone....
You could record a video and send to their staff
They are very responsive
They said it’s a MacBook issue...They are quick and helpful yes.....

So what is the problem with stand-alone Melodyne?
Well I know not iOS...
Melody new studio trial free for 30 days.....
But must say that as a Logic plug in it’s good, but not as good as I thought..
There are some excellent features...
However...
Often doesn’t detect the correct key..
No tempo mapping unless you bounce tracks..and then poor results through flex....
Still can’t get stand-alone Melodyne to work...
Also working in MacBook again so slow after touch screen on iOS...
I certainly wouldn’t buy the studio version....all those harmonics don’t really do it for me either....
I probably need to spend a lot more time with it.....
Melodyne...not Melody....
