Saturn 2 as an Enhancer?
Given that distortion is often used in enhancer plugins, how does Saturn 2 shape up as an an enhancer e.g. for adding a touch of high end “sizzle”?
Comments
It does a great job. In my opinion by far the best saturator out there. infinite amount of control with the different bands. If you just want a little high end sizzle you can just use that freq band. there are many different algorithms to choose from, and they all sound great!
There was an interesting (but by no means conclusive) discussion about this back in 2017 that mentioned Saturn and Pro-Q

That’s useful thanks! Even on sale it’s not cheap but the more potential use I can get from it, the more I’m edging towards a purchase.
this app has quickly become the nice little seasoning i put on everything. It can be extremely powerful, or very subtle. but it always adds something interesting to whatever it’s used on.
the only thing i wish is that it was on iphone.
@eross totally second what you just said.... saturn 2 is mindblowing
Good to know thanks. Purchased now
So please tell us what you think about it. An alternative is the Elektron Analog Heat mkII, which also work as an audio interface and sounds amazing.
As soon as I've had a chance to try it out, I'll report back
