Fanfare For The Uncommon Man / Production Progress
I made this track 10 months ago whilst still in Istanbul. I remember being quite pleased with it. However, upon relistening I saw so much wrong with it. So, midi editing, remixing, EQing, FXing and a much better result. I imagine this is true for many of us. Progress is always after the fact. I encourage you to listen again to your past stuff and rework. It’s a great way to hear what you have learned.
BeatHawk trombs, French horns, ISymph brass, iF bass, and RC275.

Your wotk is always so good. Just watching the Protector set in Istanbul were you first made this track, only there a day would love have explored more.
Would you share the original so we can hear your progress too.
The original is still on Mike's soundcloud from 8 months ago:
@Toastedghost, thanks for listening. Istanbul is an amazing place of ancient and modern. I was fortunate.
wonderful track!
Hey Mike, my brother!
You really upped the ante here... I already liked the original. But the new one sounds more alive. Better mixing and overall dynamics. It really adds value to your already awesome musicianship
Cheers, mate
Thank you, @shinyisshiny! And a belated welcome to the forum!
@senhorlampada, thanks, my friend. Your validation that it is actually improved is very important to me. Sounds are weird, bottom line. Or maybe I should say ears are. And then there’s the part that we sometimes hear what we want to hear.
So, glad someone I respect had a listen. I’m in a bit of a creative lull, so I will look for other tracks I can work on to hone the skills. After two plus years I can officially declare myself a non noob, thanks to you. Now an avant-noob.... or maybe a journeyman noob.
