I saw him mix a full band live many years ago: he had both hands doing these incredible waves across the mixer faders and was receiving a back rub throughout (really!).

Met him once... He lived in South London.. Norwood to be precise... Not far from my old Manor.. Croydon... (dunno about now, but an artist I worked with, she sang as backing for him a few years ago says he still at the same place.. ).. Real nice bloke.. Top fella...
