Cubasis 2 file freezes iPad...help?
I have a project I created a while back in Cubasis 2. It loads but then the iPad basically freezes by which I mean if it doesn't lock up entirely or reboot the iPad, it may respond to commands after a very long while but usually dies after a few. It produces an error that indicates 2 AUv3's are no longer available. I presume those are causing a big part of the problem...but I cannot figure out how to tell which AUv3's are missing without digging through the project. This happened to another of my projects and I was fortunately able to delete some tracks and/or find the insert FX that showed a generic "AU effect" label and remove it which brought that one back to life. This project isn't being so cooperative. Any suggestions on how to identify the missing apps and/or get Cubasis to respond long enough for me to prune out the offending apps? Guess I'm wondering if Cubasis has a "safe mode" or any alternate way to edit the project to recover what's there...

After the project opens, any tracks that failed to load their assigned AUs will have a X icon (no instrument) and not the AU icon on their tracks and these tracks produce no sound if you open the soft keyboard and tap some keys due to no instrument
Hi @oddSTAR,
If Cubasis fails to load properly, we have an iPad settings option, to launch the app with an empty project on next launch:
1 - Go to iPad setting
2 - scroll down to Cubasis app icon and select it
3 - Enable "Load empty project-..." option
However this seems not to be an option you're after here.
There is no option available to have the missing AU instrument app names displayed as of yet.
If you provide us with the project (e.g. Dropbox link via PM) we might be able to delete the AU app allocations, to make the project loadable for you.
Best,
Lars
wow @LFS thats service right there
forum active dev, why i recommend cubasis ( not a fanboy just saying).
Plz report back on what plugin caused the freeze so we know what to avoid
That is great support and extremely helpful, thank you! I'll look into exporting that project.
