Lumbeat drums won't work with buffer set to 2048 in AUM

Hi guys,
I don t know if there is more people experimenting that issue but none of my Lumbeat's drum will work in AUM when buffer is set up at 2048. (Even if that's the only app loaded in AUM). I have Jazz drummer, funk drummer, Afro Latin and Mid East Drummer. All of them have that problem. It's quite ennoying.
Could someone please try that set up? (1 Lumbeat's drum in AUM with buffer set up at 2048)
(I m running a 6th gen Ipad with last IOS .)
Thanks
Regards

  • Yeah I get the same thing.
It seems like the Lumbeat apps stop responding to Transport control.
Internal play button doesn’t work, neither does it respond to IAA, Link, or Midi clock start/stop.

If you unload it from AUM and switch to the the LB app, it works as expected, though.

  • then dont use 2048 buffer

  • As you might know Noob with heavy project sometimes you have no choice but using a 2048 buffer. But I could also play the tambourine instead ;)

  • Thanks Craklepot! I will follow your advices

  • If possible, export audio files from the LB apps (if they support export). If they don’t support audio export yet, you can try recording them in AUM at a smaller buffer setting.
After recording, switch out the LB apps for the audio files and continue on in AUM at 2048 buffer.
You may also be able to work in AUM at smaller buffer settings if you can pre-render some live apps to audio files, and use the audio files instead of the apps in your working project.

It is the same idea as freezing tracks in a DAW to free up resources.

wait a sec...getting that too with Zeeon .. 2048 buffer .. random glitch and then crashes AUM.

  • Thank you CraklePot for your good advices. I ll try that. Hope the dev at some point will fix that buffer issue, it would be more easy.
