Skiiid: How to dial in sounds on this cool iOS Morphing Drum Synth. Winners announced!
SKIIID is a new drum-synthesizer with 4 expressive pads and the possibility to morph between them. With its randomisation feature you can create unique effects and lo-fi drum-sounds quickly. In this video I explain in detail how to use the app and how to dial in sounds, as well as looking at some possibilities for putting it through a gating fx app like WOV for more control over rhythmic textures. This can allow us to get softer lofi sounds that can be suitable even for styles like ambient. See the pinned comment at the top of the youtube comments section for details on how to win one of the 3 free copies of the app that Stephan is kindly giving away to subscribers to the channel. Hope you enjoy and find this useful, I think it’s a pretty cool and quirky little app!

SKIIID + TTAP + WOV = ?.. I don't know what it is BUT it sure sounds amazing! This is such cool app.. still trying to figure out where this fits in my playground.. I think it could be some great material for SpaceCraft.. or.. ?.. That Chaos button is Golden.. and the drone button while the sequencer is running..
Yeah, took me a while to warm to this one but I think it is really cool now that I understand it properly. Its actually very simple but a few minor flaws in early versions made it a bit confusing. No ttap in there, just Wov with the Delay3000 doing a stereo filter delay. Ttap would definitely bw another good candidate!
@Gavinski What I won a code? When? I don’t see any emails or messages with code... this is Christopher Rukowicz from YouTube by the way
Oh cool, I’ve been needing someone to tell me how to use it.
I posted it here and in replies to most of your recent comments on other threads on YouTube lol. Think u won it for the Bleass Filter tutorial, which is already 2 weeks ago. Lucky I am very persistent!
Think u won it for the Bleass Filter tutorial, which is already 2 weeks ago. Even messaged you on FB. Your youtube name is not the same as your forum name here, how can I know who you are 😂😂😂😂. Lucky for you I am very persistent!
It's a good reminder folks, please make sure if you comment on my vids that you are subscribed and have notifications enabled. If you win I will message a reply to you on the youtube thread where you made your comment. But it's up to you to check your email to see that reply etc....
thnx Sir, watching
Good man, good man. Does this app pass the Noobtastic dirty lofi distorted vibes test?
yes wallet looks anxiously at me
This was one I couldn’t resist when I first heard it and I’ve been really enjoying just messing with it and looking to incorporate it into stuff, so will appreciate your run down of it, nice one @Gavinski
Great work! Thank you for sharing, and thank you for the song within. I love what you hear
Good / terrible! (take your pick of reply)
@Krupa thanks a lot bro!
Thanks very much. I should have let that jam go on a bit longer at the end and explained how it was set up, I also like this kind of soundscapey madness!
Nice @Gavinski it sounds really interesting. I’m going to watch later.
Cool! This has had a very positive reaction definitely. A lot of people who commented didn’t know the app, but really liked the sound of it.
Same here. I wasn’t interested because of the lack of connectivity but it has a nice, round sound.
The random number generator has spoken and the following three people are the lucky winners:
Daniel salomon
Erik Becker
Naris Kor
Congrats! 🎉 🎉 🎉
Another round of will they, won’t they. Lol. Jk. Congrats to the winners.
Haha. The Nembrini codes all got snapped up sharpish, thank god 😋. Still waiting to hear back from Abigail about a new code for you for Ioniarics. 😉
I just grabbed this.
I noticed it said Introductory Offer until July 25.
It is $5 right now, but may not be that cheap for long.
If that was directed to me I thought it was MidiGates? I’ll be happy either way since I have neither. But I believe it was the Bleass Chorus video where you also used MidiGates. Is that correct?
Thanks for the heads-up CracklePot!
Oh yes, sorry I meant waiting to hear back from Art about MidiGATEs...
Cool just making sure we were on same page. Thanks.
