Noob question about soundcard
I'm a noob with soundcard. I dont know what to check before buying it. When I buy a new guitar, I know exactly what I'm looking for, I know what type of wood I want, what type of pickup and the more important, if I pay more for a guitar, I know why I pay more (more option, better pickup, etc).
But when it come to soundcards, I'm lost. I'm a little bit CDO (it's OCD, but in alphebetical order, AS IT SHOULD) and I always trying to improve the quality of my sound (maybe I lost my time, but whatever).
I use my iPad with a THR10II and a TVP15 by Blackstar. I can't see anywhere the specs of the soundcard in the Blackstar. Will it sound better if I buy a Scarlett Solo or a iRig HD 2 or something else?
To my ears, the THR10II sound like the Blackstar, but I'm not a pro.
I will stop the rambling and ask a specific question. If you want to add something else, go for it.
Will a Scarlett Solo or a iRIG HD 2 will sound better with my iPad than my Blackstar TVP15 soundcard?
Maybe I'm just looking for a reason to buy new gear, who know's?
Thanks you guys, you always are great with me when it come to answering my questions!
Cheers!

I'm guessing that what you have is serving your guitar well.
Focusrite has a better preamp for voice. If I bought (another) Focusrite, I'd get at least a 4i4 for the connections, incl. MIDI DIN.
I can’t find any info about the quality of the audio interface of the Blackstar TVP15. The amp is outstanding for the price but the support at Blackstar is bad. I just need the spec of the audio interface. The manual of the amp cant help me with that. But, to my ear it’s sounds great so I’m not gonna complaint to much. If someone knows, let me know.
