I was a worker in a cement manufacturing plant with a horizontal kiln which each year had to be worked inside to replace the bricks. The delay/reverb combo when you can stand within it is just an amazing thing
That’s awesome! There’s this place called the Science Center where I live and they have this long tube (not this long) you clap into and it makes a ricochet noise. I think I’m going to have to pay it another visit and bring a microphone and some instruments with me
This idea (in a smaller scale) was one of the earliest attempts to artificial reverb... and obviously it's still popular
