If you go to the App Store and scroll to the section labeled "In-App Purchases," you'll see one purchase available for $8.99:
Classic Streetly Tapes - Volume 3 (Rarities)
I don't think this is the same as the aforementioned violin collection.
I just tried downloading it (before seeing the above post) and I got a message saying that it was no longer available. WTF?
Just had a look at the iTunes store page for this app. It shows the size as 9.4MB, slightly smaller than its previous size of 200+MB 8-(
I think they released the fix too soon and forgot to include the sound packs, which is why it was pulled from the App Store. Who knows if it's Omenie's fault or Apple's. Either way, I'm sure someone's doing their best to resolve the issue.
Do you really need the app working for you right this second? Is that why you're resorting to "WHAT THE FUCK????" You must be a real treat at a fast food restaurant.
The update would crash, so it was temproarily pulled.

Nice work.
It's a French thing...
Lol. This is a much loved classic. No criticism intended.
Since they're working on the update to correct the crash, there's something more to fix... The AudioBus tab is not working on M3000HD, it appears but you cannot touch it...
there is supposed to be 5 new tape packs available soon for purchase if I understand it right plus a free pack for all the update trouble
So far there's only one for 5.99£... a little expensive I think. Maybe they had to pay huge amounts to acquire the rights for those rare tapes. I would at least like to hear how it sounds, are there any sound samples anywhere?
Things are back to normal on my system. I'm able to use the AudioBus navigation tab on the side to move to the different sections, and all of the sounds are accessible once again.
I agree that a video or some audio links to audition the new sounds are a necessity before plunking down that much cash to download them. A free soundpack? That'd be nice...
Updated again today...
On iPad 3/4 iOS6.1.3, the button for the IAP is NOT there. Deleted, reinstalled, nothing changes. Audiobus tab works though...
iPad Air iOS7.0.6 - The IAP button was there, ok, but the AudioBus tab was still not working. I've deleted the app and then it was not on my Purchased list, I could find it on the AppStore but there was the price of 11.99. So I took the chance and a message saying the update is FREE appeared. Downloaded, the AudioBus tab still doesn't work...
I'm using IOS 7.1... Maybe that's the difference. I took the plunge and upgraded just before AB2 became available, and so far so good.
Yes, maybe that's the difference. I haven't upgraded to 7.1 due to the issues people are talking about...
Upgrade. 7.1 is working perfectly and has been since day 1.
The new update is running fine on my iPad 2 running 7.1. I also got the IAP tapes (vol. 3). Some of the sounds are really good (Pinder Organ and French Accordian), but the Electric Guitar is awful. Gothic sounds like one of the choir patches mixed with a string patch, which is something you could already do. The Glock/Bells sounds like a doorbell. The Moog sound is OK, but since I have a zillion synths including iMini I doubt I'll ever use it. On one hand I think a dollar per sound isn't bad, but on the other handl I feel $8.98 for this set is a bit steep. For the actual app, you get each sound for less than a dollar and they are the classic sounds and nearly all of them are quite usable. For this IAP the sounds are more expensive and, as a whole, less usable. YMMV.
There's a reason that the classic mellotron sounds became classic and the other original sounds didn't...
@MrNezumi thanks for that. That's all I have to go by, since there's no way to preview those sounds. Seems like the Harry Chamberlin Tapes are going to cost 14.99£....wow, thats like twice the price of the app itself. I don't know what to think about the Clare Lindley Violin Collection the reason being the same PaulB mentions above.
@MrNezumi Thanks for you post ,I almost buy IAP just wait to preview the real sound before.
I have sampletron for Mac, which has many gigs of mellotron sounds. The only sounds I have ever used from it on a recording are flute and strings. Not to say that other sounds SHOULDNT be used, but I very much agree with the statement that certain sounds are classic for a reason. At some point, too many options result in "Look what I CAN do," rather than "check out my new song." That being said, the right person will make use of some mellotron cha cha loop and have a hit, then it becomes a classic!
the rest of the iap's are available, impressions of the sounds by anyone who purchases would be appreciated
Mmmmmmmm...
Aaaahhhhhhhhh...
Plunk!...
Blaaaahhhhhh...
Sorry, I'm not very good at impressions...
Will this help?
But those are the sounds that were already in, I'm asking about the new iap sounds. I thought I could use 'impressions' like that in a sentence I should work on my english, I am embarrassing myself here.
No, your sentence was fine. English can often contain double meanings.
hahah! Good one! Got me confused.
We often clarify meanings using collocation, accompanying words that pin down the meaning. In this case, 'give your impressions' means what you wanted, whereas 'do some impressions' is how I chose to interpret it. Without the accompanying verb, the meaning can go either way. However, most native speakers would have said exactly what you did, expecting that the most sensible interpretation would be chosen. I'm just not sensible...
good to know
