only know that an aufx push does that
I know AUM has a clipper and peak limiter in the dynamics tab...

just bought it !
its like a glue compressor but sounds not as good as it or as an aufx push(
I only use the soft clip of this app.
Nothing else.

Not a %100 sure but since you are using BM3 I always thought that ‘knee width’ accomplished a soft clippy thing?
no it doesn’t clip sound
The limiter doesn’t by adjusting the threshold? My impression was that a soft clipper is just a limiter where you adjust the attack but I guess it is harmonic distortion thing as well blah blah. https://www.hackaudio.com/digital-signal-processing/distortion-effects/soft-clipping/
Right. There’s more to AUFX:PUSH than I realized!
The input modeller of Toneboosters Barricade has soft clip, hard clip, multi-band saturation etc etc - my favourite!
Damn, it’s a beast isn’t it? Listen to the Auto-clip as well. Killer.
hmmm gonna check this one
I have my own set of clipping presets in Drambo's Graphic Shaper, it also allows for customizing the sound by ear.
If the input signal level fluctuates too much, I can always put a compressor module in front of it.
Selective filtering also allows for multiband clipping with different settings per band (e.g. when the same clipping curve that sounds great with trebles would mudden up the bass range).
K devices Shaper can do clipping.
