Is there an effect (iOS app) that react to the strumming of your guitar?

Anyone knows the Tera Echo by Boss? It's a weird echo sound that react to the strumming of your guitar. If you are strumming slowly and soft (I feel that my sentence is poorly written, but that's the English I have), the effect will be gentle. If you are strumming the guitar aggressivly, the effect will be agressive.

Is there something like that on the AppStore?

Thank you for any suggestion.

  • This feels like a job for...

    Wait for it....

    D... R.... A.... M....

  • I used to have this and I used it on my synths. There hasn't been anything made exactly like this but for some creative delay fx checkout Dedalus and TTap.

  • The effect is described in SOS: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/boss-te2-tera-echo

FAC Envolver can convert the strumming envelope to MIDI CC, which can be used to modulate something..

I suggest messing with PhaseDelayArray or Eventide UltraTap

  • You could try using FAC Envolver to modulate wet/dry mix (and/or other controls) on any delay. The louder you play the higher the values the envelope will send.

Do you have a patch to suggest to me?

  • @Montreal_Music Can you recommend a video which clearly shows what the effect does?

  • Envolver is your best shot.

I've never tried, but google suggests that it is possible:

Envolver is easy to re-do in Drambo but it won't help you getting even close to what the Tera Echo does.
Drambo has no reverse effects, neither in reverb, nor in delays, nor in the recorder so the only option I can see would be Flexi samplers plus feedback modules. Not really fun as that would require an awkward setup with the record knob triggered by the sequencer... Oh wait, that's not possible yet either.
I've asked for such reverse facilities long ago but I guess @giku_beepstreet does not like reverse effects at all 😅
Ultratap comes close but it has no dynamic filter, altough you could add this post-Ultratap with Drambo.

It's actually quite refreshing to hear that you CAN'T do this in Drambo! (Yet...)

    lol

    Lol. Is this a first.

  • I don’t think AUv3 CuSnP is exactly what you are looking for but might get you part of the way there... it’s FREE too.

  • yaleD gets you some reverse delay

  • Seems like you could put together something similar in Nurack. It has an envelope follower and delay and reverse delay modules.

It was a time when I was buying apps like crazy. Now, I try to buy app in a more reasonnable manner. If I already have mirack, do I need Nurack?
