  • Ok I overracted. It’s fun and simple but didn’t even make me reach for it when I was experimenting a little earlier. Would’ve been amazing in 2014.

Does anyone know the most painless workaround to make AUM or Ape use midi note number range control a parameter?

Go to patchstorage.com and look at the Mozaic script called “key to cc”. In the AUM matrix put it between your controller/keyboard and the built in midi control. Should work. I haven’t tried it myself. Never used ape matrix.

What did you use instead of this?

  • Very cool app! I like that it's fun and easy to use and yet flexible. I love to play the FXs in realtime as I did here. As some of you mentioned, a wet/dry control could be useful though.

Yup. The effects shine as a sample-and-resample loop in Koala.

  • I'd like to see more subtlety in the fader curves. Cutter in particular, where 0.002 is already too much.

I'm comparing it with Sugar Bytes: Effectrix, Turnado, Looperator. Also Woodstepper, Classic FX, and several other multi-effects-with-sequencers that are available now.

Interesting, I've had the exact opposite experience. I've used it several times recently and it helped me quickly dial in some new directions that I hadn't intended going in. I'm happy w/ it.

Yeah it's not a patch on any of the sugar bytes stuff, dunno what I expected for the money but I was kinda bummed at the purchase and uninstalled it almost immediately because of the quality of of the FX and the lack of any meaningful control over the wet/dry element..

  • this app deserves a copy/paste between scenes @elf_audio

Me too. In particular the pitch shift is really quick and easy to use - it'd take ages to get the same effect with the SB apps, if it's even possible (I tried before buying the Elf app with Turnado, and couldn't do it).

  • @mlau definitely want to put copy paste in, it’ll be there in the next update

Maybe I should do an addon Auv3 that has just the pitchshifter? Seems like it’s the most popular effect in there.

I will look into a way of putting wet/dry into the UI too, shouldn’t be too much of a pain.

@symianbeatz please get in touch through the elf-audio website for a refund

Comb are Ring are already a lot of fun and their musical usability will greatly improve with a wet/dry control, thanks!

No need for a refund, you deserve to be paid for the work you put in, if the app improves to the point where it's useable for me then I'll have another crack at it 👍

The killer feature of KoalaFX is its incredible musicality. Love it.

  • I wish it had a wet/dry mix knob

100% agree. I have several more powerful and flexible FX apps, but I find that I reach for KoalaFX so much of the time because it's so easy/simple and sounds so musical.

I'd love to see it implemented per FX, perhaps by adding a (lockable) X-direction swipe to the FX pads.
Sometimes I don't even want to touch an FX because of the sudden burst that I know is coming.

Same here. KoalaFX just slides into musically perfect states with the ease of a gesture. I love the timbral quality of each effect too — they’re all just right!

  • Sorry to bump an old thread, I don’t know there were any better newer ones?

@elf_audio any chance for an update?

+1 for this. Kills the whole project and freezes ipad until able to turn off before song is played

  • @icsleepers @stormywaterz sorry about that - just released an update, should work in Logic now.
