Audio routing

How can I route audio out of and back into my iphone 7?

Comments

  • To route audio into and back out, use a USB audio interface such as a Focusrite 2i2.

For iPhone you'll need a Lighting to USB3 adapter otherwise known as CCK.

@BITCRUSHER What are you trying to accomplish? Depending on what it is, there may be a better way. Otherwise, you will need to have an audio interface that has "loopback" capability.

  • I am trying to send all audio signals out so that I can record and effect them on the way back in via the oscelot apps (and others)...

  • You're going to need an audio interface for each device, or something like an iConnect Audio device that can route audio between different devices.

If you describe exactly what devices you're trying to send to / from it will help to get better answers.

  • What audio are you sending out from iPhone?

Why not route audio into audio interface, e.g., from your guitar or vocal mic, and then route from audio interface into your iPhone, for FX?
