What The Flux X4?

I am very confused! I have all of these (except FLUX by belew). What is the usability status of these four on an iPad Pro 512 running iOS 13.06?

Flux-FX by Adrian Belew
fluXpad
FLUX-FX play
FLUX by belew

  • fluxpad is by Mouse on Mars. There have been some noises recently about updating it.

Anything by Adrian Belew is awesome in theory and abandonware in reality.

  • Thanks Philandering_Bastard!

Excuse my ignorance but having not played around with the three I own for some time, and having read differing reports about their present functionality, I was confused. I am not familiar with any recourse that might be available for abandonware, which in this case would include Flux-FX by Adrian Belew and FLUX-FX play and FLUX by belew, I assume?.

Would Apple allow a refund or other support, or is it simply good money down the pooper?

  • I think details of refunds vary from country to country but if you've had them for some time, I think a refund is highly unlikely, isn't there usually some kind of time limit in terms of weeks or months?

You should try them. A number of people have reported that they still are getting good use out of FLUX FX and FLUX Play. Fluxpad is a totally unrelated app.

I'm not overly familiar with any of the four apps IAAS (insta-buy app accumulation syndrome).

Would it be obvious if they are not working, or would I have to delve into the functionality of them, and only after hours of careful learning how to use them, start to potentialy realize that it might not be me that is doing anything wrong, and in fact there are glitches not at first apparent?

I would like to avoid a sizable time commitment to learning theses apps, if after some time I find out they are not functioning the way the were designed to.

Also, if they are abandon-ware, then isn't there a good chance that all my efforts will be in vain at some point in the next year or so, when iOS gets further updates and the developer has no interest in making the apps compatible?

I guess my real question is, are these abandon-ware apps worth the time and trouble to learn well, or are there other apps that can do the same thing? Understandably, I would much rather put my time and energy into apps that are going to stay updated to the latest iOS, unless there is something special about these apps. When I bought them, I was under the impression that because they were Belew endorsed, that they were unique to the iOS world and worth the time and energy to learn, but now I have no idea if my time and energy would be wasted, or well used!
