Any decent Pitch Fx pitch up/down (not pitch shift) Auv3

Every app I tried sound warped & mushed and really bad keeping transients on drums.
Thanks in advance. iOS seems to be lacking good Pitch Fx

What have you tried on iOS that you didn’t like? What have you tried on some other platform that you did like?

What about Eventide MicroPitch and AudioDamage Dicord4? These are available on iOS and desktop.

  • @mojozart tried them all. Will re install Discord4 and experiment. Cheers

  • @stormbeats Re-pitching won't introduce any artifacts except changing the length.
If you don't want a pitch shifter then that must be what you want...?

  • Doesn't BM3 sampler do this?

Yes. It's pitch shifting has sounded the best to me of the iOS apps I've tried.

  • @Lil_Stu07 @espiegel123 what do you use when not using bm3. To my hearing bm3 pitch shift is ok for melodic but not that good on drums. Does something weird to the sound. Koala Sampler pitch dial (not performance fx section) is better. @elf_audio Koala Fx app Pitch Section needs work (loss of transients for drums) and all other Pitch apps I tried seem to add bad artifacts to the sound. Loss of transients on drums but ok for melodic.

  • I usually use Discord4 but I don’t use drum loops so I’m not sure what would be best. Even still, I would suggest loading your loop or sample into BM3 or Koala Sampler and then export it. A few extra steps but from what I understand, this method generally sounds the best. I believe sEGments pitch shifter keeps the sample in time if you use it in a DAW or AUM. I could be wrong though.

I don't have Koala Sampler or FX. I have tried: discord, quadravox, samplist, BeatHawk (things need to be saved as sliced AppleLoops format to do this) and BM3. In my opinion, none of these is as good as BM3 even for those things where BM3 has more artifacts than I would like.

  • I would check out Looperater (which has pitch effects) unless you're looking for something subtle.
