Nice improv! So much to work with having four triggers. Be one with the delay.
Thank you.
True.
I hear you.
Good advice.
That was nice @Gravitas
How do you connect the piezos to the iPad?
I guess you could also trigger those sounds with regular midi a la Mutable Instruments/ Spectrum bundle?
Shorter video would have also done it or some kind of structure but I have enjoyed it nonetheless. Also nice to see the person behind the fingers. You’re cool 😎
Thank you.
The piezo's are soldered directly to cables
and at the other end are jack plugs.
You need an audio interface.
Most probably, thinking about it.
Something for you to try?
Thanks for the compliment.
Yeps, this could be my entry into Drambo: MPE physical modelling controlled by Linnstrument
I've just tried Modal and Resonator from the Spectrum collection.
They don't resonate in the same way using direct audio.
They do work better with midi so I'm going to send
a direct midi out to trigger the Spectrum modules.
Thanks for that.
I haven't heard the Linnstrument before.
I've had a look.
Really cool.
Similar in principle to the Sensel Morph as in it's a tactile surface.
Sounds good.
I must add this.
I didn't have a suitable tripod for my little action camera
so in the nature of modular I put this together;
It's a bit of a clothes hanger, the end of a selfie stick and a rubber band. 😂
'Necessity truly is the Mother of all Invention.' 😇
Also, I've now discovered that I didn't link
the microKorg controllers to dRambo correctly.
Now, it sounds correct.
Cheers!
Only that is music only, is actively supported and doesn’t need a computer to access settings.
Rows tune chromatically, columns can be tuned at will (fourths, fifths...) and can play regular midi and MPE.
@Gravitas Great to see the piezos take off 😅
Is that a Soundcraft Notepad with swapped knobs??
Cool camera stand. The first good use for a selfie stick.
So it's a very specific instrument.
That's cool.
Good to know.
Yeah, thank you. 😁
The rig is steadily growing.
I've added piano to the mix now.
It's quite cool.
Oh dude.
You're awesome. 😂
You're the only one ever to have noticed
that I've changed the knobs around and
I've had it since they first came out.
The original way, didn't make any
sense at all, I couldn't find anything.
I do need to get new op-amps but it still sounds good.
Definitely.
Haha, you know, I own one too and funnily I was already about to send it back right after purchase because of some rumbling noise on one channel but the next day the noise was gone... forever. Call that burn-in.
Now that you say it, indeed the knob colors make a lot more sense like you've put them 👍🏼
Two days ago I've started a somewhat similar project with my Beatstep, trying to make some better use of polyphonic aftertouch in Drambo. Ran into annoying bugs so I've put it on hold for a while...
I know what that is.
There is a very specific component in these
mixers that can get a little bit temperamental.
It happened to my one which caused rumble in one channel.
I spoke to Soundcraft, they told me what it was.
I ordered the part.
Fixed.
It's a solid little mixer.
Definitely call it burn in.
Cool. 👍🏽
I noticed that thread.
Sounds like a really fun project.
It'll be good to see it come to fruition.
wow this was great.. hmmm .. mite do smth with all junk around here, some dead guitars and amps to harvest from
Your coolth is the best part.
Glad you like it.
I hear you.
Looking forward to your harvest
Thank you.
Much appreciated.
