Audible glitches when changing presets on Sampletank through AB

Has anyone managed to successfully integrate Sampletank into a live setup running through AB? I've been trying to get Sampletank -> Loopy working but every time I change presets (using a MIDI PC) there's a horrible audio glitch that ruins the mood.

I know there are other options in terms of sound sources (anyone feel like turning some ST sounds into a soundfont? :P) but I feel like ST has some great quality sounds perfect for performance.

  • I just noticed this today actually and only with Miro. But i do not use SampleTank for live only for getting jobs. For example when a customer says "I want you to make it sound like this commercial." I go into SampleTank and make a quick 30 sec example just like whatever music they like. Scanning presets helps me find similar sound. And then export it , master it, and hopefully get the job.

But i do understand live concerns. Many apps glitch that are high quality and being switched in presets quickly. Well they glitch or pause for a moment (like magellan on spawn). I would wait and see how AudioBus 2 works with it ( especially now that we know date). If that doesn't solve it, put in a request with IK. And most of all if using live... Be like a magician, find a way to turn sound down and use a diversion to avoid the glitch. That's not a joke....

There is always a way... Troubleshoot and experiment.
