nurack meters ~ why does 0 db show up as -20 db?
Hello @4Pockets and other nurack users!
I am trying to setup a spectrum analyser in nurack- but I'm very confused- why is it that a 0db signal shows up as -20db in the spectrum analyser? Is there anything I can do to change this? I'm just trying to track peak levels on a track and I do not understand why the scale is different than when I use 4pockets analyser standalone in peak/rms mode

I guess because not all frequencies in the input signal reach 0db?
For peak detection it's better to use the other level meters...
Most DAWs use 32-bit float so as long as it sounds good it's all good...
...just pull down the gain on the master before exporting.
