Thanks for sharing, I'm mostly editing video on my computer, so it's good to have TunesKit AceMovi on my desktop. I can easily get my video project done in this software without having to learn much video editing skills.
Which video?
Posters first post here - bot, methinks
Me too. I waited a few minutes to see if I got a reply then I flagged it.
Yes it is very good video editor. I also use the capcut mod apk lastest version.
😂 crazy world. But entertaining too! Guess you have to see the glass half full...
.
The only thing with CapCut (and TikTok) is that the Chinese government owns a part of that company - a government that is supressing a whole country with lots of rules that are against human rights…
China isn’t much better then North Corea or Iran…
And, FYI, CapCut isn’t the best video editing software on iOS, that is Davinci Resolve which are miles ahead of both CapCut and Lumafusion…
This tutorial shows one of thousands features you’ve get if you boycott the Chinese shit and put your effort on Davinci Resolve instead…
Everything in this video can also be done on the iPad version of Davinci Resolve…
Man, I mean, I also have strong opinions on politics sometimes, but BASING YOUR APP PURCHASE DECISIONS on the politics of the country the developer is from? That's just next level 2024 😂
@SevenSystems obligatory #Merkelraute
Bytedance are cunts, there are more than enough negative news about them. Some people probably think they'll up their social credit and score more TikTok reach by using their Crapcut 😂
Hold in mind that the Chinese company that develop TikTok and CapCut has the assholes in the government as one of the owners…
Also, TikTok is also banned and censored in China - pretty funny!
I personally never buy any app developed in Russia and a few shitass countries, never…
Maybe. But the app has objectively the best UI/UX (at least for "basic to moderately advanced" editing) of any iPhone video editor I've ever used. I think it even was free, too. So I'm not even supporting a "cunt company". I just have to somehow justify to my own conscience that I'm using a product from a company that some consider cunts. That's OK! I'm pragmatic enough for that 😃
Maybe I don't know enough about China to decide if the assholes in the Chinese government are worse than the assholes in EU governments 🤔 but yeah, in general I would probably agree that a company partly owned by a government is less trustworthy than a wholly privately owned one.
That is funny!
Well, at least you have an attitude! 😄 Even though I'm definitely more pragmatic there. But to each their own!
Ask yourself why they're offering all that for free.

Canva has a easy to use editor as well (works great for tutorial style videos) and could be a better value overall due to their other features.
The authoritarians in the EU learn from China and their censorship, it's where they get their ideas and tech from (I assume that's why they also don't want to untangle from companies like Huawei who provide the infrastructure).
Enough political talk, but honestly I expect better from devs when it comes to their own security.
Come on, so you mean that we in western Europe is treated as bad as average people in China?+
Do you really have any clue how many Chinese people has been arrested (or executed) just because they criticize the government?
There’s soooo many awful things going on in China now (and also in the past) - just look at the ongoing Face Recognition Plan the government is installing in all over cities - that’s horrible for peoples integrity…
I could write you 100 more things that proof that China is a shitty place to be if you’re only working class or just a critiziser…
Ah yes, the old "privacy" saga. I must admit I've never been overly bothered by it, maybe naively so. OK, so they "may" know my phone number and email address, and approximate location. So what exactly is going to happen to me, what nefarious actions are they going to carry out against me with that information? I mean, I already don't answer any calls from any unknown or withheld phone numbers, and my email spam filter works!
Sorry as I said, I'm probably incredibly naive. But I've had this attitude since I started using the internet in 1997, and for all the problems that I have in life, all of them are definitely unrelated to sharing my data 😂
What would bother me a little bit is that they apparently also collect the images, audio and video that I use in editing. I'm not exactly sure what "collect" means though. Do they actually acquire the right to use them? i.e. do I give up exclusive ownership of them? That would be bad. But then, would such terms and conditions be held up in court? etc...
Sorry, currently sitting in a cafe and definitely have too much time wondering about these things...
Thanks for the pointer.
Agree. Although the continued reliance on Huawei etc. is probably rather because they're too incompetent or too stingy to switch to a different supplier 😄
The world is already a shambles and life is incredibly hard (at least for most people). If we now also start worrying about terms and conditions in apps we use, it becomes completely unliveable 🥴 just my opinion of course...

It all makes it easier to impersonate you and skim your identity. It's not so much about technical folks like us but the non tech savvy people we interact with who may get emails or phone calls from "you".
Keep in mind that all this may become an even bigger problem with how AI automation is evolving lowering the barrier for criminals to do things like that. Chinese companies already got cought selling data back to the black market and to the west into hands of criminals. I wouldn't trust them a bit.

That's too simple for me because it really depends on how much an entity has to loose imo. There are certain things that are off-limits for democracies and companies in the west because they backfire badly.
China is an authoritarian dictatorship and that's a cheatcode shielding them from scrutiny and negative consequences in their country. As a large country with over a billion people they can afford to cut all ties if push comes to shove (wenn es hart auf hart kommt).
The reason why they can do business in the west, often using unfair advantages is that they "sell" access to their own large market to the upper % of western companies that can afford to do business there and don't pose a threat to the Chinese dictatorship. They use this as a leverage to entrench themselves as deep as possible and create one sided economic dependencies.
You don't have to dive into the details, I just use good heuristics e.g. don't use shit from dictatorships or companies that are off limits from our western legal systems or already have a negative track record.
It is a shame that Holy Moses and kirmesteggno can not take advantage of all the wonderful apps in the IOS ecosystem because iPads are made in China. :-(
