Best (iPhone compatible) Pads on iOS?

Not necessarily super deep, with endless tweaking options. In fact, i prefer very simple, with awesome presets that don’t require any tweaking at all. Just curious what’s out there.

Which meaning of PAD applies here? Just curious:

MIDI controller PAD's (hardware or software app?)
    Ambient tone presets

  • Um ... pads as in drum pads? Or pads as in lush, evolving soundscape kinda things.

The latter. The lusher, the better.

iPhone/AU ideally. Sorry, I’m really not as well versed as most of you. I produce all my music on my iPhone, nothing else.

Something that would compliment this. Specifically the bridge strings at 1:43..

    I see mainly two options:

    • Synthmaster One
    • Pure Synth Platinum

Both have a good number of pads, including a few vocal/choir-like sounds that may fit the track.
Synthmaster One is faster at loading presets,
Pure Synth has more sounds that I could imagine to be a good fit to your track.

    I like the PADs in:
    Zeeon
Roli Noise Melody (lots of IAPs)
    Magellan II
and any synth that has SpiderIceMidas presets available:
    Kronecker
    Mersenne
    Mitasynth
    ...

Damn! That's a blast from the past!

Ancient, but very cool. Don't think it's still available, though...

  • Thankfully I still have it on my iPad Mini 4! 🙏🏼

Disclaimer alert - I'm the developer, but I designed moodunits with very simple very much in mind  Runs as AUs on iPhone. Here's a quick demo of some of the pad presets.
