V4 / Why Collaboration Is Important (maybe).
I am posting this here to draw attention to the Forum Collaborations thread. Forum members creating together, IMO, could be one of the goals of this community. Collaborating provides fertile
soil in which to gain insight into all aspects of iOS music production as well as the creation of unexpected musical alliances.
We all have stuff to teach each other. We can write all we want about mastering, for example, but in a collaboration this aspect can be examined in real time. And equally true for arranging, instrumentation, FX use, etc. And an imbalance in experience is valuable, too. Collaboration can be a very effective form of mentoring.
We go out of our way to help each other with tech advice. I realize many of us here are not necessarily interested in completed tracks, but for those with that goal, I encourage you to read the Collaboration thread begun by @iOSTRAKON. The tools for virtual collaboration are very easy to use it’s educational and, gosh darn, it’s fun!
This track was created by @hypnopad and myself as a result of the Collaboration thread.

Linear lineman sent me the midi notes in a Cubasis file and chose the drum loop. I chose the sounds and effects. I then added the bass and additional synth parts. Thanks for the William Orbit comparison.
I’m always up for a collaboration. Problem is my stuff tends to veer on the weird side of town, which scares most people off, particularly when I chop up their lovely tune, and reassemble it speeded up/slowed down with bits of old clocks and cows thrown all over it.
Ha ha I'm in the same boat @MonzoPro. I've upset a few people with my take on their loving crafted melodies.
I think @bluepunk is the only person who can handle my distorted view of this old popular music lark.
Yeah, you’re probably the only one on here that could stomach one of my mixes. Though if we collaborated our weirdness would probably cancel each other’s out, and we’d end up with a really listenable pop tune.
Why don’t you @MonzoPro and @Jocphone go for it? Prove Young wrong.
These “people” don’t know what they’re missing: Musical Geniuses.
Sounds like my kind of thing...
Yeah if anyone wants a silly remix of their precious tunes just DM me. Can’t promise when it’ll get done (up to my knees in wellies most days here), and that you’ll even remotely like the results, but it might nudge me out of my current musical hibernation.
