Georgia On My Mind / More Cubasis3
I’m getting there. Overall I am very impressed with version 3. Some glitches still need to be ironed out, but many aspects, like the midi editor and freezing tracks are much improved. It bears further exploration. At times I think the recording capability has improved as well. Maybe @LFS can confirm that is the case... or not.
The great Hoagy Carmichael standard... and now, I am actually in the Peach state!

Wow, Lineman, that has such a great feel!
Talk about taking a classics to another level!
Excellent work, as always!
Very nice Mike! Always love to hear those mad keyboard chops!
I bought Cubasis 3 a while back, plus all of the IAPs. Still haven’t really utilized it for anything yet, as these quick ‘n dirty AUM jams are so easy to churn out. Your post reminds me to dive in and do a proper arrangement once in a while.
Thank you @SNystrom. I love many of the jazz standards. Hoagy Carmichael is really up there. Stardust and the lesser known Baltimore Oriole to name two.
Thanks @Intrepolicious. Time to take that dive, maybe?
Wonderful! This made me pull out my guitar and blow on Georgia for a half hour. But why did you need Cubasis? It sounds like a solo piano improvisation.
@Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr, I would have loved to hear what you did. I was mostly learning about the midi editor. Big improvement over v2. Undo function much smoother, note alignments much easier. A better experience. I did add BASSalicious.
Smooth. Hoagy’s Heart and Soul was the first song I ever learned on piano. What MIDI keyboard do you use?
@shortsadvocate, I have a Casio PXS3000 (highly recommend), but I got a Kawai ES8 (now discontinued) for a more piano like feel. The Casio has a very light feel, but great for half the price.
I use the Casio for playing synth lead lines once in a while. No mod wheel on the Kawai.
So beautiful and such a nice piece to end my day with. Thanks.
Glad I could contribute to your POM. Thanks for listening!
