Neosoul Keys presets question

Working through my IOS EP's to see which I like the best. Now I'm spending some time with Neosoul Keys which has some really nice sounds.

I've saved several presets to the user folder. I've been able to call each one up based on the order it's listed. However whenever I add a new preset, it is inserted into the middle of the list, which throws out of sequence the program change numbers I had previously assigned. Is there a way to get Neosoul Keys to save new presets at the end of the user preset list. Also I've tried experimenting with MSB and LSB numbers to change banks but that doesn't do anything. Basically nothing in the manual about managing this. It seems that the only time Neosoul keys responds to program change numbers is for the currently loaded bank.

Thoughts?

  • Looks alphabetical

  • Yes, that was my conclusion as well. In which case, you could just name them with numbers before them to get the right order.

  • Jamal the dev is usually very responsive if you email him directly

  • After fumbling around a bit in the app, I discovered how to assign program numbers to any preset.

    1. Go to Settings--> Settings--> Program Change. Select "browser learn". Close Settings
    2. Open the preset browser and find the one your want to control. Long press that preset. A popup menu will appear. Select "Learn Program Change". A dialogue box will appear telling you the preset is currently unassigned.
    3. Go to you controlling app and select the program change number you want to assign to the preset. In my case I'm using Keystage.
    4. Go back to to Neosoul Keys. The dialogue box will now show the number you've assigned for the preset.

Hope this is helpful. There's only a cursory explanation of the process in the manual. See video link:
