woooo this app makes sounds. and looks cool too. thnx for this @Gravitas
Like auGENx, another piece of the pie for AUM, apeMatrix...
It's expensive for what it is: an oscillator. But sounds good. Debatable whether I'll buy it.
Hm. Somehow I remember this being a little more useful than it is. I bet that one guy would love it for its ability to do sine sweeps though
All AUParameters are exposed for some crazy automation which is always good.
With some modulation and processing it's a pretty good drone-machine. The pitch can also be controlled over midi...
it's quite good for testing speakers too LOL...
saw the price now...yeah... well its blue..
😮 I could’ve sworn the intro price was much lower.
Cheers @Gravitas
I thought it’s always been $10-15 bux
Yeah, I saw the price as well.
The link is definitely a
try before you buy and...
it’s blue.
I don’t know if the price of the
app store version is going to
remain the same once the beta
expires.
For a straight forward oscillator?
Oscillator by Kymantica is free
for instance but it isn’t auv3.
I don’t even know if you can
do sine sweeps with it because
I only use it for two purposes.
Setting my analog inputs to -12db
and for pink noise when I need to
setup my monitors to the K-20 system.
It gives me plenty of headroom
and dynamics when I need them.
Just out of curiosity: What would this oscillator do that Drambo couldn‘t?
Don‘t get me wrong, I understand that this is a serious testing equipment with high bitrate interpolation and a very precise DSP, but soundwise: What would be the advantage of this?
I also ask because I am quite into the sound of Raster/Noton and love their approach of working with sound as frequencies and not in the sense of musical scale etc.
