AU(v3) support iOS to macOS?

Are there third party plugins that work going from, say, a GB project on iOS to GB on macOS?

Comments

  • I would guess the 1:1 plugins do this. Like a FabFilter probably would.

ZenBeats, an entirely different DAW is said to have this ability.

GB projects from iOS don't transfer to GB on MacOS with any plugin settings. They only transfer as projects with rendered audio tracks.

[edit ... apparently the latest MacOS GarageBand version does transfer plugin settings. I was mistaken.]

Ok! I guess the follow up thought is when we will get Logic on the ultra-portable. iPadOS is not that far away. 8GB ram and we’re kind of there.

Well that’s not true at all concerning first party audio units.

You're right. Either I made a mistake exporting the last time, or a GarageBand update has changed that. It was some time ago. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries of course 🙂 Just was a bit befuddled.
