That's fab, great little app.
One feature that is easy to miss is long tap on a step when in rec mode to access more per step parameters. It’s also possible to add multiple notes per step but not toggle them on/off one by one. Rec in overwrite mode is nice prety neat too.
Don’t know if there’s any manual for midiSTEPs but it’s quite easy to get by playing with it.

Don’t forget the ability to “parameter lock” up to 3 MIDI CCs per step! One of the reasons this app is amazing standalone. You can also automate AUv3 parameters on a per step basis.
In the Standalone/Iaa version, I am able to record those 'cc' (Reset prob. Skip prob, etc) LIVE. Rest, Tie and Accent can also be recorded live in IAA, but don't seem to be working in Auv3...This Live Performance makes this app truly unique for creating variations... hope it is sorted out in the future.
Also, seems like some great features in the Tool menu were left out in the Auv3, Random, and the doubling features...
BTW.. I won't mind paying an IAP for those features... such a great app.
Edit... Seems the 'Share' file is broken... can't transfer projects to other iPads.. Am I alone?
And Scales..
