edited September 2020 in General App Discussion

Florent Roux, the genuine Guitar Hero on the ABF writes about his story:

I started music making at age nine. i’m a self taught musician.
My career as a professional musician started at 18.

A lot of gigs (french top-forty bands, pubs, bars, etc...) until 2008.
This year i’ve decided to stop touring.
Since then, I have compose a lot.
I’ve dicovered music on ipad in 2012 and I really enjoy this.

French is his first language and if you can craft a question in that language feel free to get the best possible information using French since English only serves to block most frequencies in the
processing. I will use Google Translate to follow the discussion and post Google's attempts at translations.

  • Bonjour cousin!

  • Mon aéroglisseur est plein d'anguilles?

@flo26 will you be posting some of your non-guitar compositions to the forum again? Used to really enjoy the more experimental work.

I don't even need Google for this one. High school French.

Thanks Google. Those little accents over the vowels confuse the heck out of me. I never know how loud to hit the accent so I just ignore them.

  • I have a question...

  • I have a lot of noisy friends in France. What’s your favorite French musician/band?

I’m not fond of new french music as i’m not really into instrumental music as a listener😉.
My favorite french artist is jacques brel.It shows my age, don’t you think?

I'm not sure which direction to use... it's ambiguous.

  • Flo, who was the most famous artist (French and international) you played with?

    Thanks @flo26

I don't often venture to Soundcloud so I probably miss a lot.

  • Salut @flo26 !

  • @flo26
How do you start tweaking your sound? Does it come from something you've heard and try to recreate or is it a journey while adapting to given tool?
I'm always amazed by how good you sound (I know it's mostly in your hands), but it seems you can get good tone out of 'anything'.
Is there a lot of EQing going on or is it mostly pedal/amp/cab?

I like to keep things simple.i have owned a lot of great guitar amps, and all these sounds are still in my heart,in my ears, and in my brain. It really helps a lot.
When about amp sims,if it sounds and feels good, everything is ok.
I don’t care at all if it really sounds like a soldano,a fender,a marshall,a vox,or whatever.I must feel confortable with the sound.
I NEVER eq guitar amp sims. It’s just amp/pedal/cab.You’ve got all your EQs in it😉.
