Which DAW/app can import audio file from Dropbox and export the stems?
I have this need which seems simple enough but I have not found a solution yet. Could you pls help me?
I only need to record my vocal singing on a backing track. The backing track file may be a wav or mp3 file.
Therefore basically I only need a two-track recorder:
Track 1: Importing the backing track from Dropbox
Track 2: Singing
Now the last step is: I want to export these two tracks as separate stems so that I can edit further in my Windows laptop.
I have tried Garageband, Bandlab, Soundtrap but they cannot do this.
Anything else can work?

GarageBand can do this. You can just import the backing track, record the singing track, then either mute or delete the backing track and export the song.
You don't need to export the backing track as a "Stem" do you? Because you already have it in Dropbox.
Oh yes, you are absolutely correct. I forgot that the backing track is already somewhere in Dropbox, so I only need to mute the track in Garageband.
