Great to read these stories Hypnopad, very inspiring. I actually spent time in an intentional community in a beautiful secluded valley in the interior of Brazil about 20 years ago, it was mind-blowing and I often dream of getting back to some kind of more hippy lifestyle like this.

I went camping once... a bear opened a slit in the tent and found a forgotten chocolate bar my ex packed. Good times. Did I mention we were asleep in the tent with the bear started trying to locate that smell? Good times. Bears are generally harmless in National Parks as a rule.

I have a Buffalo stand off story for another time.

I have a bear encounter story too from my time in Poland years ago as well. Let's save it for another time though, I'll swap you it for the buffalo story. 😂

@hypnopad I wish ppl could experience that kind of thing too. Ah, makes me miss those pre-mobile phone days too, damn these super useful devices to hell....😂

What's the longest trek you made in the bus? I'm sure it didn't get the best MPG (Miles Per Gallon) so that trip to Yellowstone could cost a pretty penny and then there's all those mid-west cops looking to roust a "free spirit". So, how far did you get from your home town?

The longest trip was from Tucson AZ to Silver City NM. Did that twice about 6 years apart and both times got called a “fuckin’ hippy” by a passing pedestrian in SC. Only times I got hassled the entire time I owned the bus.
Mainly migrated from southern to northern AZ to follow the nice weather. Did that for a bunch of years.
My bike trips were much longer. Did New Zealand back in the 80’s.

  • What it looked like when I got it. ( I didn’t build it. I think I was the third owner). It was a bit top heavy.😂😂

After I took the cabin off. It got damaged from all my driving off road out in the woods.

  • Cabin is gone but the bike is stable on the front right :D

    That’s funny- never noticed that.

Did you see any Hobbits? Damn, you have great stories. You should record a story and play it over the top of one of your musical/video productions. Something for the non-musical to relate to.

  • Some people live life as art.

No hobbits. That was pre Lord of the Rings!
I do have some interesting bike trip stories. I’ll share them at some point. One actually has a musical angle to it.

The Hobbits were in MiddleEarth since the First Age. But in your defense... they are a shy people. I'll bet they saw the bike as a product of the dark arts.
